All Cats Go to Heaven

Last semester as a requirement for our FYS (First Year Seminar) Call of the Wild, we had to complete at least 20 hours of service-learning. I happily fulfilled these hours and ended up getting about 30, alongside almost half my classmates, including the awesome Amanda Parker.

We had been volunteering at Cats Haven, Indianapolis' first no-kill shelter for cats, where we learned that cats aren't always the sassy creatures they're made out to be, but loving animals. We also became close to the founders and caretakers of the shelter.
Unfortunately, as the service-learning requirement is not part of our curriculum this semester, no one with a car has been offering to take us to the shelter.
That said, with the combination of the ever-busy Facebook, I was late in hearing about the latest kitties to go to Heaven:

Fat Albert on Christmas: December 25, 2012.

And Oscar, one of Amanda's favorite cats, on January 13, 2012.

Rest in Peace, ol' pals. You will be forever missed. ♥
